From the Fryer to the Fuel Tank, Algae Fuels
I guess it is time to get 100% long for the readers to count. All indications in Algae Fuel, Bio Diesel and Alternative Fuel Information are unbelievable, for example algae fuels.
I has been suggested that this was a smart ruling:
At first glance, LanzaTech's plan to use bacterial fermentation to convert waste gas emissions into bio-ethanol doesn't seem all that different from the waste-to-biofuel processes developed by other startups, like SequesCO and GreenFuel Technologies. Trap a large quantity of emissions from a power plant, pipe them to algae or bacteria contained in either a pond or bioreactor, add a few nutrients and voila! You now have a ready supply of biofuels. Unlike its competitors, however, Auckland, .. full article.
I love the posting, I made a copy and share:
By Rich Truesdell Automotive Traveler A couple of weeks ago I picked up From the Fryer to the Fuel Tank, by Joshua Tickell. Basically, it's a primer on how to run a diesel-powered car on restaurant grease. The book got me investigating the world of alternative fuels, and how they might help alleviate our current pain at the pump. One thing led to another and I took a look at an eBay Mercedes-Benz 240D,which had already been converted to run on vegetable oil, just like you buy at Costco ..next.
There are many kind of associations you can join that will broaden your knowledge. The fact remains, however, you have to read this first.
Farther to my last post, here are some more looks at transportation issues. Air Show – This article from the "NY Times" today, The Wild Green Yonder, describes some of the initiatives of the airline industry I touched on the other day: new materials, new engines, new fuels. The article refers to a series of test that Boeing is running with major airlines on biofuels as alternatives to traditional jet fuel. You can go to Boeing's website covering its environmental programs to learn more .. read the rest.
Modern society put so much pressure on all of us, but we won't miss out the joys of reading good posts.
